At Stoup brewing on tap, in a flight glass.
Appearance : Hazelnut color, 70% opaque. Minimal head or lace left behind.
Smell : Very faint, but has a nutty aroma with baked malts and a slight candy sweetness.
Taste : Has a nice hop presence with spiced malt, ginger, and nutmeg. Very balanced yet pops with spice and hops. The flavor on this Marzen is pretty good.
Feel : Medium bodied, ends semi-dry.
Overall : I liked Stoup's version of the Oktoberfest. It's a nice balance and a slight departure from typical Marzens with the lovely spice and hop presence. I'd have it again.
