Rich in color and character, our robust porter conjures up memories of decadent chocolate treats dipped in coffee. Hints of dark chocolate, roasted coffee and light malty sweetness are the result of a complex malt profile including chocolate malt, roasted wheat and roasted rye.

Pours dark brown in color with a thick, tan, frothy head. Head leaves super lacing! Nose is very malty s is the taste. Decent amount of bitterness across entire palate, similar to dark chocolate.

The thing I don't like about Porters & Stouts is the coffee taste. This one has very few notes of coffee and a good malt taste. Chocolate and sweetness come thru more than the coffee so pretty decent.

Robust is the word for this stuff! Pours a dark chestnut brown with plenty of beige foam in the Timmermans goblet. Aromatic with roasted grain and a whiff of cocoa. Taste is bitter chocolate with a dose of burnt sugar. Malty and just slightly sweet to start, with a little charred grain and a bitter aftertaste. Overall it's a satisfying dark quaff with no end of flavor. From the 16 oz can purchased at the Co-op market. 2024 edition.

Moderate, light tan, medium sized bubble head. Dark and clear chestnut brown with a bit of auburn highlights, for the look. A slightly sweet, dark toast, caramel malt aroma, with a hint of spiced cocoa nibs, underlying. Medium bodied start to the taste, then right away, a maximum roasted grain flavor, comes in and gives it a little bite. There is the slightest off-dry note with maybe a hint of toffee in the offing, under the surface of the main flavors. A non-bitey, very dark roast grain, with a touch of woodiness, in the trailing finish.
