Double IPA equals double hop pleasure! This beer is bittered with Chinook with copious amounts of Simcoe added in the whirlpool and dry hop. Hop additions in the forms of Pellets, cryo-pellets and resinate result in loads of layered goodness.

Label not familiar so another one I had on tap. Gave it a really good rating so must have been really good as I am a big fan of IIPAs. Don't remember where or when I had this beer.

Lovely clear amber brew with abundant white foam in the goblet. Lavish aroma of honeysuckle with citrus. Mouthfeel is lush and full bodied with creamy carbonation. Sweet and fruity in the West Coast manner, no juice or acidity. It's sharp enough, though, with the sweet fruit. Moderate bitterness is welcome and enlivened by all the aromatics. It IS bitter, though. This is in the running for Best DIPA already this year. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 12/19/24.

Poured from 16oz can into a dimpled mug. Canned 12/19/24 — pretty fresh!
Appearance: medium golden-orange hue with an almost haze-free body and a thick finger of frothy ivory foam atop.
Smell: malt is quite sweet with an earthy and lightly citrus-rindey aroma. Not too bad, but not really complex or anything.
Taste: sweet malt with an earthy, herbal, somewhat grapefruit-rindey flavor. Bitterness is on the high side. It’s not bad or anything; it just doesn’t tickle my fancy much.
Mouthfeel: medium body with a decent carbonation and creaminess.
Overall: I’m not sure what it is — maybe I just don’t like Simcoe in big syrupy DIPAs? I’m sure this beer has an audience, but that audience just isn’t me.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a two finger white head with good retention and light lacing. Aroma of lightly caramel malt, citrus and pine hops, mixed citrus, mild pine and a touch of dankness. Flavor is caramel malt, citrus and pine hops, orange, pine needles, hints of mixed tropical fruit; fine bitter finish with more dry caramel character and lots of pine resin. Lingering pine. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. A very nice, classic IPA with a healthy finishing bitterness. A piney Northwest hop profile. The aroma was a bit staid, but the hops really popped in the taste and built into a great finish. I've been really pleased with Stoup's hop bill in their IPAs; this isn't that complex, but a good balance of citrus and pine and memorable finish.

16 Fl Oz can
Served in a stemless wine glass
This beer pours a brilliant amber with golden highlights. It is topped with a couple inches of beige head that leaves decent lacing.
The smell is sweet with some medicinal and citrus aromas.
The taste is on the sweeter side up front. I get a corn mint flavor with some citrus. There is a slight resin flavor in the finish.
Medium bodied with a slick mouthfeel
This beer has the west coast flavor without the west coast bitterness. This is pretty good, not great.
