modern and delicious, i dont get to drink stoup beer often enough, always appreciate it when i do. this is not crazy unique or anything, its just really well done, drinkable as they go, love it not being real strong, this is borderline session ipa these days the way the abv trends have gone. love this being as light as it is too, super minimal and pale on the grain side, looks more like a pils than a classic ipa, blonde and sunny and perfectly clear, with a real easy body and just enough malt flavor for this to be balanced, crackery and fresh, simple in a good way. a pleasant and largely familiar mix of hops, with up front intensity in the nose than can only come from cryo. notes of lime, orange, and catty mosaic, maybe a little near ripe melon and its rind, modest bitterness to me, a little dank character, west coasty that way more than from being bitter in the flavor too, juicy and fresh as heck, like a slightly better and maybe more pungently hoppy version of a beer i have had many times before. bright citrus in the flavor, stays the whole time, subtle coconut, pineapple, and pine resin as it warms, not quite tropical, not quite northwestern, a slightly oily linger but a clean ferment for sure brightening it up even more, lots of bubbles, delicious. these guys have long made killer hoppy stuff, and it was great to get to dip into a few of them in the same session, wish this stuff came to idaho!

Draft pour. Clear golden color, light white head, some retention. Nose cereal, light berry fruit. Taste is complex bitter, hard to pull out much else. Smoothie-like feel on medium body is quite unique.

Clear amber brew with plenty of foam in the wine glass. Nice lingering aroma of citrus. Light body with spritzy mouthfeel. Some sweetness and malt flavor to start but mostly it's the hops. Mix of fruity flavors with tangerine and pine to finish. Overall this is a classic IPA with the grapefruit note and the bitter aftertaste. From the 16 oz can dated 08/18/23.

can into glass
Very thin and quickly dissipating white head. Crystal clear, medium light gold with a little orange tint. A really fragrant, light toast caramel malt, beneath pine needles, tangelo peel a touch of rose, for the aroma. Medium level of hop bite that sustains past the finish and into the aftertaste. Bright, tangelo/tangerine peel flavor on top of a medium light level of medium toasted barley malt base.

Pours a lovely mostly-clear golden colour with a decent fuzzy white head... probably two fingers to start but it settles back to a bald patch and tufts in the corners before long.

You can smell the cryo as soon as you start to pour.
Bright fruity floral hop forward. Aroma settles down once it's sat for a moment, and has more of a dull earthy thing with a bit of honey/caramel malts that's right up my jam.

A nice simple throwback, ultimately. Simple earthy hops with that floral/fruity veneer over the top. Straightforward malt malts underneath. The finish is dull earthy bitter: pine with a bit of spice, and the floral sweetness dancing around the periphery.

Mouthfeel is a little on the thin side of medium, carbonation is nice and raspy, the dull bitter finish lingers... This is a good simple throwback to yesteryear and I'm here for it.
