So, there are some good beers out there. There are even some very good beers. That's all fine and dandy, but until you've had a beer that's Ultramega good, you just haven't lived! We think this beer so perfectly defines Ultramega good; we named it Ultramega Good IPA. That's how confident we are. Seriously, how can you go wrong with Citra, Nelson Sauvin and Strata hops all in one IPA? Citrus, passionfruit and white wine grape aromas and flavors on a moderately hopped bed of pilsner and 2-row malt? Ultra indeed.

From the description I thought it would be better than it was. I like IPAs but was expecting more. I like all the hop varieties they used. I'm not a brewer but the blending or something could have been better.

Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a medium golden amber with a two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale malt, citrus, tropical fruit and dank hops, orange, passion fruit, mango and green grapes. Flavor follows with pale malt, tropical fruit and citrus hops, mixed tropical fruit, grapefruit, orange and a little dankness; mildly bitter finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Another entry in the hybrid of Western and NE IPAs. There is very little haziness in the glass, but the soft feel and vague juiciness of the hop flavors are all hazy IPA to my palette. I found the hop bill appealing, if a bit fruit forward and probably would have been a big fan this had a bit more hop bitterness. Great name and is likely to be an approachable non hazy for the NE IPA fans.
