We thought it was a good idea to go all out crazy with the Citra in this one. We put Citra Cryo hops and Citra Incognito in the whirlpool and added even more Citra Cryo in the dry hop.

Warning: if you don't care for the Citra hop, avoid this beer. Pour is a clear light amber with a nice head which fades away fairly soon. Aroma is heavy on the citrus -- which is the whole point of the beer in the first place. The Citra hops carry through to the taste, which retains the lemon / grapefruit right through a very long finish. You get the citra aftertaste for a long time, not unpleasant at all if you're into this hop. Sip slowly and enjoy.

Pours a clear bright yellow with abundant foam in the Fuller's imperial pint. Lush and sudsy on the tongue. Hugely aromatic with lemon and grapefruit. Taste is clean citrus with a grapefruit finish and moderate bitter aftertaste. As the notes on the label suggest, they did go all out crazy with Citra hops but it's totally drinkable. The mouthfeel and fulsome aroma in every gulp makes this a pleasure to quaff of to sip and savor. A textbook case for moderating the hoppy bitterness while maximizing the aromatics. From the 16 oz can purchased at Elizabeth Station. Dated 04/06/23.
