Poured into a Seattle Beer Week pint glass. Pours a slightly hazy, medium golden amber with a two finger white head with great retention and solid lacing. Aroma of pale and lightly caramel malt, citrus and lightly tropical fruit hops, orange, pineapple, mixed tropical fruit and catty dankness. Flavor is caramel malt, citrus and dank hops, lemon, grapefruit, light tropical fruit and catty dankness. Nice dank bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess. Well, the fresh hop season just keeps on rolling, which is a mixed blessing; these IPAs are great, but I was planning to take some time off between them to ward off lupulin taste fatigue, but with a backlog of regular IPAs in the fridge and and the most diverse offerings of fresh hops this year, I've had more IPAs this month than any other time I can remember. I really like the Stoup malt base and I can't resist a new hop in this format. This ADHA 1624 is supposed to be a very citrus forward hop with light mixed fruit, but I'm finding basic citrus and some nice dank notes. The fruit component is solid and lingering after the taste and as usual with Stoup, solid bitterness to finish off. I really like this one; the fruit mix is subtle, but flavorful. Another favorite this year.
