Aromas and flavors of dark roasted malts, molasses and a hint of chocolate. Moderately dry and with just enough alcohol warmth to let you know it's there, our export stout will make you want to wrap your fingers around a pint, cozy up to the bar and enjoy some quality time together.

16oz can. Bottom lip has a date stamp that could be '10/28/24'.
Black colored body, with a brown back lit edge. Two fingers of beige fine bubble head. This head becomes a web type cap and ring. Leaves behind an isolated lacing web.
Aroma of roasted malts with a bit of smoke, molasses, and vanilla.
Taste is dark roasted malts, molasses, and a bit of chocolate and coffee. Metallic note. Gets more toward a sweet cola flavor with a bit of char. Bitterness from the dark roast.
Medium mouthfeel. Has a smoothness underneath the metallic note. Good carbonation.
True to style, with good balance.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a fine, two finger dark khaki head with great retention and nice lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, bakers chocolate, coffee and a little graham cracker. Flavor is dark toasted malt, bakers chocolate, chicory, mocha coffee and a light bitterness in the finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess. A fine, dry and chocolaty export style stout. Faithful to the style, but more chocolate and coffee character than usual, yet well balanced. A touch of bitterness in the finish melds well with the bakers chocolate and coffee notes. A really nice looking pour with a fine textured big head that almost looks like a nitro pour. Flavorful, balanced and a class act all round. Nicely done. Reminds me that I need more export stouts in my life.

Dark brown brew in the Pilsner glass, and I don''t think I've even seen a darker brown foam. Lush and sudsy on the tongue. Modest but pleasing aroma of roasted grain. There is a caramel note to start, some burnt sugar, and a dry finish with a bit of bitterness. This strikes a nice balance among the burnt malt, sugar, and a kiss of hops. It's one of the better Export Stouts I"ve had, looking at my ratings. From the 16 oz can purchased at Town & Country market in Shoreline. Dated 10/26/23.
