Draft at the brewery
Nice rich creamy off white head with moderate retention, fair lacing, mostly clear but dark chestnut mahogany color
Nose lighter side, sweet grainy toasty malt with some chocolate, dark malt derived fruits, biscuity, hint of roasty, light caramelized sugar
Taste rich malt, toasty darker malts, little biscuity toffee, caramel, hint of chocolate and some roast in the background, very light malt derived fruit esters which it could have used a bit more of, light earthy hop bitterness, but a bit drier finish, medium spicy hop bitterness late, clean lager mostly
Mouth is med to lighter bod, medium to lighter carb too, little soft lager
Overall not bad, bitterness gets a little rough on the finish, the malts in general are nice but maybe a little too roasty heavy, and lacking the fruity esters
