Draft at the brewery
Medium tan foamy rich head with great retention, super black inky thick beer with great legs
Nose big cardamom out front, then roasty coffee, fudgey dark chocolate, some generic baking spices and a little vanilla
Taste dark malts again, as well as more cardamom up front, some dark fruit raisin notes, med bitterness turning a little spicy, roasty with rich earthy coffee, a little fudgey chocolate, drier finish with flash of alcohol, spicy hops and bitter roast, cardamom lingering, like holiday cookies
Mouth is fuller to med bod, medium carb, light alcohol warmth
Overall not bad, cardamom it's quite strong overpowering most of the beer, less roasty coffee than I expected for "Turkish", but decent stout otherwise
