I tried this beer off the tapper at the taproom in downtown Columbus, Ohio as part of a five sample flight. It poured a clear golden with white head that did not leave much lace. The sent has grain notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bright malt base and subtle clove presence. The mouthfeel was lighter in body with good carbonation. Overall it is a good beer.

More hazy than a typical Hefeweizen and beers. Not much head. Decent lacing. Taste is very herbal like most Hefeweizen are decent beer. I like it. Well done.

This isn't as good as some others but overall I think it's a solid example of the style among other Ohio Breweries. Very typical nothing wrong with it except maybe not as full bodied but nothing super stands out either.

Actually this has grown on me a lot after more servings.

L: Pours a pale gold, fairly clear, and formed about a half-inch of white foam with a careful pour into a weissbier glass. Plenty of carbonation visible rushing through the beer.

S: Wheaten, notes of pear and bubblegum.

T: Opens sharp and metallic, then swells slowly into a mix of musty wheat and clove. Faint, distant notes of tart white grape and bubblegum. Not much banana to be found, regardless of the wording on the tin.

F: Not as fluffy as one might want from their hefes, though definitely supercharged with carbonation. Where the can says effervescent is no lie.

O: A solid effort, but as per the majority of US hefes I've tried, not a new addition to my pantheon of wheat beers. Alas.

Hefeweizen | Wolf's Ridge Brewing. Bomber split with @ nicholas2121, this has got a two finger thick head, solid lacing, and a hazed golden body.

I smell banana, clove, and bubblegum as expected.

Tastes like all the classic hefe elements with a clean finish.

Medium mouthfeel with fair carbonation.

I'll choose to rate Hefeweizen | Wolf's Ridge Brewing with a 4.25

Hefeweizen brewed by Wolf's Ridge Brewing, with an ABV of 5.00% This Hefeweizen pours out a cloudy amber color with a nice white head. This is an unflitered brew , you can not see though it, not saying that is a bad thing. There is some nice spotty lacing to this brew, it sticks to the side of the glass well. The smell is rich spices, grains and malts. The hops in the smell as well as a nice sweetness, however it is not to heavy. There is a lot going on in Hefeweizen. So far this is a nice inviting brew. Now for the taste, it is bold with flavors. You first pick up on spices and a nice mild sweetness. You pick up a mild sourness, with a hop bitterness. Kinda reminds me of a bitter sweet wine. The body of Hefeweizen is a solid medium. There is nothing overpowering about this brew, it has a real nice balance to it. The mouth feel is Bold, Sour, Sweet, Clean, Smooth and Refreshing. Overall I'm giving this brew a 4.25 out of 5. I would look this brew up again giving the opportunity to.Wolf's Ridge Brewing, did a real nice job with this Hefeweizen.
