An Imperial Red IPA brewed with copious amounts of Simcoe and El Dorado hops. At over 90 IBUs the hop bitterness is balanced by the addition of lactose sugar to lend balance to the beer.

Canned on 3/25/21. 16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours an amber with solid clarity; fluffy khaki head that falls leaving great retention and sticky lacing. The aromas are malt forward. Some caramel along with some hints of citrus. The flavors have a strong bitterness. Subtle sweetness. Decent hop flavors. More citrus, especially orange along with some hints of grapefruit. Some pine along with some hints of pine. More caramel. Malts do their thing. Mild warmth in the finish, but it's not hot or boozy at all. Mouthfeel is full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's extremely fluffy and smooth.
This is a pretty solid Imperial Red Ale. It has everything that you'd look for in the style, more or less. The craftsmanship is on point. It's enjoyable and fun to drink. Well done. I like it.

Pretty solid. Not great but very far from being mediocre. Can hold it's own along side other hoppy red/amber ales for sure.
