Aroma is slightly vinous, with notes of plum and raisin. Fairly subtle.
Flavor is overly sweet, with a surprisingly bitter finish. notes of dates and prunes emerge as it warms. It's a bit hot.

Snifter at Wolf's Ridge
A - Dark brown, almost purple/maroon color with a small white head
S - Plum/fig, fruity rich aroma
T - Tons of flavor, plum, fig, very savory and full bodied. 11% ABV but you don't taste the alcohol too much.
M - Smooth but not quite "velety". About what you'd expect from a quad
O - Very impressed with this one. Not widely available, but if you're in Columbus it's worth seeking out.
