An orange gold color. Very cloudy. Soapy off white head that retracts fairly quick, but leaves a film.
Very rich, not sweet, smelling fruit. Cantelope/ melon, orange, and honey.
Taste very smooth, with a solid resinous bitter backdrop. Lots of honeydew melon, orange, and some apricot rind. Also a bit of grapefruit and pineapple. The hop profile is floral. A lot of flavor depth, and everything is well integrated. Especially with the sweet malt base.
The body is fairly full. It borders on an imperial at times, but it is super smooth outside of a little bit of peppery kick. Especially the cask version.
An outstanding IPA all around. I think the cask pour was just as good, with an added soft creaminess to it. This beer strikes me as almost a combination of Hopslam and Two Hearted.

Quality IPA. Not overly hoppy, but a good hop profile. Maybe a little weak for IPA lovers. Not much as far as aroma, but a good body and adequate mouth feel.

Shimmering gold-amber with a white froth to a thin blanket and loads of creepy lace.
Smell is ruggy, cedary hops with...peat? Wtf?! While taste is more classic grapefruit, pine and rug. Bitter yet crisp with a dry finish.

Description: Golden, honey color and a little cloudy. Not much head or lacing to speak of. Big aromas of pine, tropical fruit (mango, peach) and some dank notes. Taste is similar to the smell with tropical fruit and floral notes. The finish and aftertaste are grapefruit and a nice bitter punch. It's hoppy, but not overwhelmingly so. Feel is a little thick for an IPA but not in a bad way and it's a smooth drinker.
Suggested food pairing: Falafel
If you like this beer then you should also try: Chillwave
Overall: 4.25 (This beer is good and I would likely drink it again) This may not be a top tier IPA, but it's well above average. Nicely balanced and nothing not to like, any fan of IPAs should be pleased with this.

1 PINT 6 FL OZ bottle
Served in a teku glass
This beer pours a brilliant amber color with golden highlights. It is topped with an inch of tan head that settles around the edge of the glass leaving a little lacing.
It is a little buttery smelling. I get some citrus and pine.
The taste starts out a tad buttery as well, but the grapefruit and citrus quickly come to the rescue. The finish is bitter grapefruit and hints of pine.
Medium mouthfeel
This is a pretty solid IPA. I am a Wolf's Ridge fan and hoped for a little more though. That's the problem with being a very good brewery. The consumer expects every beer to be very good or great. This one just didn't quite do it for me. It will not discourage me from trying everything I can from them though.

8 oz pour on tap in cask
A: Murky brownish brackish body with a creamy small bubbled white head.
S: Tons of peaches, cantaloupe, honey, apricot, and sweet grass
T: Nice layered honey, malts, peaches, apricot, honeydew, and a little bit of pineapple with just a hint of butteriness
M: Very soft, creamy, rich
O: This beer has an outstanding flavor. Its fruit packed with a nice level of rich maltiness to even it out. I don't know if it being on cask did it any favors, I wasn't crazy about it but the more I drank it the better I enjoyed it on cask. Wolf's Ridge continues to do great things and this beer is worth seeking out its delicious.
