Poured out of a 12 oz can into one of my pint glasses, this beer pours a dark brown, almost black color with a tan/light brown head that's about 1/2 inch thick when first poured. Settles after a few minutes to a thick surface coating along w/ a thick ring lining the inside of the glass. Not much lacing at all unfortunately. Aromas of roasted malts, coffee and chocolate are all nicely present along w/ a big of dark stone fruit. Rounded out w/ some earthy, herbal hop notes. The taste is quite similar, w/ the aforementioned roasted bready malts that gives way to some chocolate sweetness and black coffee notes. Also just a slight hint of molasses present after this beer has sat and warmed up a bit along w/ a bit of anise. Rounded out w/ a slight earthy and herbal hop presence. Has a slightly chewy, slightly syrupy, fairly smooth, medium to full bodied mouthfeel w/ moderate carbonation. Quite an enjoyable beer and a good representation of the style w/ it's own character too at the same time.

This is part of their "Pub Series". Canned on 6/15/21. 12oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black; creamy khaki head that fades leaving decent retention and lacing. The aromas are malt forward. Hints of cocoa and marshmallow. The aromas might start off somewhat bland, but they open up as it warms a bit. The flavors are bold but balanced. More cocoa. Some milk chocolate along with some hints of dark chocolate. Subtle hints of coffee. There's a nice amount of dark fruits coming through. Mild bitterness to go with a mild sweetness. Solid malt backbone. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed for the most part. Mouthfeel is very nice. It's on the fuller side of medium-bodied, almost full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's fluffy, creamy, smooth and slightly sharp.

This is a solid Baltic Porter. It's mostly everything that you'd expect from the style, more or less. It's enjoyable and fun to drink. Not bad at all.

12 oz can poured into a goblet at just below ambient temperature.

L: Pours like an opaque cola, and forms a finger and a half of tan head that fades relatively quickly into a cap and ring. As the amount in the glass dwindles, the resemblance to a dark cola increases.

S: The nose is stone fruits, faint licorice, tinges of cocoa and coffee.

T: Sour plum, dark chocolate, and faint coffee open the taste, A hint of charcoal creeps in mid palate, with some herb garden soil and a slight metal tinge. Sour plum, coffee, and cocoa linger in the aftertaste.

F: Full-bodied and thick, with lively carbonation.

O: An enjoyable Baltic. Rather lovely.

12 ounce can, canned on DEC 28 2020. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch tan head. Head retention is decent, and there's a lot of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like roasted malt, dark fruit, cocoa, and some earthiness. Taste is similar enough to the aroma, but there's also the addition of some herbal and anise flavors too. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick, creamy and smooth with a good amount of carbonation. Can says it's only 7.3% ABV but for some reason it seems like it's a stronger brew than that. Not that it seems really boozy at all, it's just that it has the body of a stronger beer. I liked this one, worth a try if you get the chance to. $11.99 a 6-pack.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This solid Baltic pours
a nice and muddy blackish brown with thin cola highlights,
and a nice head of light brown foam that settles to a thick
ring, thin layer, and shows excellent lacing. Nose of dark
cocoa, dark roast, char, anise, and herbal notes. Flavors
hit the mark with char, dark coffee, dark chocolate, subtle
anise, and faint herbal hops with light yeast touches. Nice
mouth feel; medium full body, medium full mouth feel, light
yet creamy carbonation, and a bitter malt driven finish.

Of note, with more warmth is touches of black pepper and
tobacco.

Overall, a solid Baltic!

PS-----Thanks for finally coming to Jungle Jim's
Eastgate-----FINALLY a source for your great brews
in the Cincinnati area!

Black with light tan, dense, creamy head.

Smell is milk chocolate, artisan pizza crust, a little zesty floral hop, black pepper, and nutty cinnamon raisin bread.

Taste is sassafras, coffee, faint chocolate, with some dark fruit in the background I think I'm picking up more from the nose than in flavor.

You get a nice, dense and creamy intro from head, which isn't even on nitro, then a zippy tang in the middle, with a semi-dry finish.

5 0z pour on tap.

A: pitch black body no light escaping it, small mocha colored body.

S: roasted malts, slight coffee, chocolate

T: lots of dark fruit, prunes, dates,

M: lush and thick very chewy

O: I was a little put off by the huge amount of dark fruit taste, also although I like my stouts to be chewy my porters I want to be just a touch thinner. I can't place my finger on why this beer didn'the click for me, but I did not care for it.
