Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing opaque black in the glass with a thin khaki head that dissipates to a thick film with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, coffee, dry caramel, cocoa and cinnamon. Flavor follows, with dark toasted malt with light char, coffee, baker's chocolate, cinnamon and a touch of caramel; coffee and cocoa finish. Medium bodied with moderate creaminess. An excellent coffee stout with good balance between the char, coffee and cocoa. Aftertaste is reminiscent of a Mexican chocolate inspired mocha, and a good one at that. Nicely done. If this brewery was near me, I'd try all the stouts they had to offer.

22 ounce bottle packaged on 4/28/21. Poured into a DFH tulip had a nice sized tan head topping a blackish brown body. Smell was heavy with the cinnamon with chocolate and malts infused within and a small alcohol burn, maybe some vanilla too. Taste reveals some coffee but the alcohol is completely hidden. Mouthfeel has a nice balance where it doesn't get too thick and chewy like some of the cold weather high alc fortifiers. Nice fall imperial stout from Dire Wolf

22 ounce bottle, no dating on it that I noticed. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half tan head that stuck around a while. There's also a decent amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like coffee, cinnamon, roasted malt, and bittersweet chocolate. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also a bit of licorice noticeable too. I think the cinnamon flavor is stronger than the coffee here, although the coffee does kick up a notch as the beer warms up more. Good enough balance between the sweet and bitter flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit coating with moderate carbonation. I liked this imperial stout a lot, I always try to pick up any Dire Wolf variants to try and I wasn't disappointed with this one! $11.99 a bomber.

Poured from a 22oz bottle

It is a fairly viscous looking black with a substantial light brown froth on top.

It smells strongly of cinnamon. There is some chocolate, a bit of licorice, and very faint coffee.

Like the aroma, the cinnamon dominates. The coffee is almost non existent other than a little bit of charred grounds. The base beer is there though and keeps the spices from being overwhelming. There is a decent amount of bitterness and charred flavor along with a semi sweet chocolate.

The body is a solid medium, and the carbonation is average.

Would like to see the coffee come through a little more, but it is still a very good beer.

22 oz bottle poured into pint glass

A: Rich dark body with a lighter brownish quality and light escaping at the edges. Head is a slightly soapy and dark khaki colored that settles to a film.

S: Lots of cinnamon, some chocolate, a little coffee

T: Cinnamon is rich and full right up front get some chocolate if there is coffee it is very dialed back then get some alcohol heat.

M: medium to fuller but not as thick as I would like to see a stout.

O: It's not that great the cinnamon is too much and masks a lot of the base beer. If there is coffee in thus beer it's well hidden.
