16oz nonic pint pour in the taproom
It is a clear, amber-chestnut color with a moderate, creamy light tan head.
Very malty smelling. It's like a semi sweet dark bread with a very sublte floral hop note.
It doesn't taste quite as sweet as it smells, which is good. Just a little bit of lingering carmalized sugars in the finish. Excellent, mellow flavors with toasted bread and crisp pilsner like malts. It has a substantial amount of body to it. Maybe just a hair heavy for the style.
Overall I think this is as good as Great Lakes Elliott Ness, which is a solid example of the style.

12 Oz pour on tap into Nonic pint
A: Body is a nice deep amber brown color with good clarity big creamy looking head with tiny bubbles.
S: deep doughy breads, nice grain, a little bit of a nuttiness and some light floral hops
T: Huge caramel, toffee, sweet grains, nice doughy breadsy malts taste with just a little hop backend.
M: Medium bodied with lowish carbonation nice and smooth
O: This is a really good vienna lager that is not too sweet like some can be they almost lean towards a doppelbock. This one the toffee and caramel come through nicely with just a little sweet doughy finish
