Poured from a 500ml bottle with a Sept 12, 2017 stamp.
It's a foggy, dull, straw color with a bright white cap that recedes quickly and leaves a thin film on top.
It smells like pear, lemon, salt water, and flowers. I really get a lot of rose petals from it. It is fairly acidic too.
It has a very tart, sour, citrus bite with some pear/apple and floral flavor. I do notice some coriander spice, and the salt is pretty prominent and very nice. It finishes clean. Lingering sourness with a bit of coriander.
It is crisp and lively bodied, but smoothed out a bit by the soft salts.
This is a really good tasting beer, but I don't think it is what I would call a Gose based on what I have had from Germany and a few of the better onesin the US. Maybe a super Americanized Gose. This one is lacking a bit in wheat, and has some flavors that aren't typical. Call it a Saison or maybe a Berliner Weiss and I would score it higher. A good beer. Just not a good Gose for me.
