Ladies Who Brunch is a well-balanced and meaningful stout from Wolf's Ridge. It is a tribute to International Women's Day and was brewed by females. They even donate a portion of the funds to the YWCA. The beer is well balanced with caramelized maple syrup, sweet coffee, and fruit notes. WR tends to go too sweet but they pulled back on this one.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a quarter finger high tan colored head that left a narrow collar around the edge of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of of maple syrup are present in the nose along with notes of chocolate and vanilla.
T: The taste follows the smell.and has flavors of coffee and maple syrup along with notes of cacao and hints of vanilla.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: The use of maple syrup definitely makes this a god selection for a brunch (or early morning tailgating) beer.

16oz can from Tavour. Syrupy black pour, tiny ring of head. Rich aroma of roast malts, coffee and chocolate, hint of maple syrup. Maple comes in stronger in the taste, along with a hint of cinnamon. Very sweet, light bitterness, latent alcohol heat.

Ordered from Tavour, chilled, and poured into an imperial pint glass.
Look: Dark brown almost black, tan two-finger head that slowly dissipated and left a solid ring of foam and lacing as we drank.
Smell: Sweet day old coffee up front, some spice that might be cinnamon, and some light roasty malt.
Taste: Sweet soft roast followed by a sort of chocolate flavor that merges into the cinnamon, then a bit of coffee and good raw coconut on the nose while drinking, and light trailing bitter and booze with raw coconut on the end and in the aftertaste. As it warmed we get a hint of ash in both the smell and taste.
Feel: Medium to full mouthfeel, super light carbonation, smooth, not super think or syrupy but close.
Overall: This is a creative beer that caught our eye so we needed to try it. It says that it has maple syrup, coffee, cinnamon, coconut, cacao, vanilla, and orange peel. We don’t really get maple syrup, vanilla, or orange peel, but it is still a creative blend of flavors.
Cheers!

Canned on 3/9/21. 16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours almost black; khaki head that fades leaving solid retention and lacing. The aromas are malt forward along with some hints of coffee. The flavors have a lot going on, and I mean that in a good way. The coffee comes through. The cinnamon really comes through and blends well with everything without dominating. The maple syrup isn't shy and gives this one a solid sweetness. Some chocolate and coconut in the mix. Low bitterness. Strong malt backbone. Mild warmth in the finish, but it's not hot or boozy at all. Mouthfeel is full-bodied with moderate to lower carbonation. It's fluffy, smooth, slightly creamy and velvety.
This is a great "breakfast stout". It definitely has a nice breakfast vibe going on. The coffee, maple syrup and cinnamon all come through. Great flavors. The craftsmanship is on point. Well done. I really like it.

Says the beer is retired, but must just have retired it because the date on the bottle is March 2019. 22 oz. bomber poured in a standard pint glass. Pours a black color with 3 fingers of head. Aroma is coffee heavy, some maple syrup, some vanilla. Medium mouthfeel, tastes heavy of coffee but after it warms up you can really taste the sweet chocolate flavors. Not sure how much I paid for the bomber but it was worth the try. If you can find the bottle and like breakfast stouts you may want throw down the money. I enjoyed it a lot.

22 ounce bottle, no dating that I could find on it but I believe this was a March 2018 release. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch and a half light tan head that stuck around a while. There's also a good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like cinnamon, coffee, maple, vanilla and chocolate. Taste is similar to the aroma with cinnamon, coffee, orange peel, maple, chocolate, roasted malt, coconut and vanilla flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's slick and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. Easy enough to drink. There's a lot going on with this brew, but I liked it. Definitely worth picking up! $14.99 a bomber.
