Honey IPA

A carousel calliope of a pleasantly dry and medium-bodied malt frame, paired with an engulfing stampede of hop flavor and aroma, met at the finish line with raw wildflower honey. This beer will have you waving the checkered flag of victory for this late fall seasonal champion. Human palates… start your engines!

This was decent but completely unremarkable. I fall victim to just being like "I want Hopslam" instead, and I don't really want that but anyways, nothing is bad I just wanted more. I'd 100% still buy this.

Canned on 1/13/22. 12oz can poured into a tulip.

Pours a burnt golden; fluffy off-white head that fades leaving nice retention and lacing.

The aromas are malt forward. Some caramel and breads. Some citrus.

The flavors basically follow the nose. More caramel. More breads along with some crackers and grains. Some orange, lemon and melon. Some raw honey. Moderate bitterness. Subtle sweetness. Solid malt backbone. Finishes juicy and dry at the same time, probably more on the juicy side. Alcohol basically goes unnoticed.

Mouthfeel is nice. It's medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's fluffy, sharp and smooth.

This is a decent IPA. It's not the flashiest, but it's still solid.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured a clear copper with thin white head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had melon and honey notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with slight bitter hop start to finish with melon and honey highlights. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a very good beer.

I love Mosaic hops. I look for beers with mosaic hops. So far every beer I have tried has given me it's own interpretation of what Mosaic flavor should be. This beer hits each element of the mosaic hop profile; berry, mango, pine, citrus and herbs and notes of tropical and stone fruit.

Nice Dark copper color. Light on the nose. Very malty for a pale ale but good backbone of bitter hops carries it through. Well carbonated and decent mouth feel. Over all, more like an amber (think Troegs Nugget Nectar) but very tasty. Strong for a pale ale so go easy.
