Dull black with a tall tan foam head.

This one's wildly woody, giving a hickory sort of character to the stout, as the slick but crisp crackly body exhibits additional notes of red fruit before the boozy paper dry finish.

Thanks to JLindros for sharing this bottle. Wish I didn't lose my review of this initially....

A - Poured into a Kate the Great tulip a nice dark black hue with a fat mocha head that fades to leave really thick lacing and a dense blanket.

S - Aromas of huge fruity chocolate and solid vanilla notes and great barrel as well. Alcohol hidden well.

T - Taste is similar to the nose with great vanilla notes and lovely fruity chocolate. Tons of red wine port notes, tons of fudge brownie. Delicious.

M - Mouthfeel is nicely carbonated, smooth, creamy, alcohol hidden well.

O - Overall this was a very solid stout with lovely fudgy chocolate and fruity port notes. Great vanilla too.

Thanks to Ryan145, shared with rudzud

Big mocha colored frothy thick head good retention and lacing, pitch black beer, legs for days

Nose I can smell on the pour, loads of vanilla, dark chocolate, cookie dough, fudge, fluffy nougat, little caramel and candy bar, little toasted oak and some fruity background maybe the port

Taste big fudgey chocolate, big vanilla, chocolate brownie batter, big raw toasted oak barrel, obvious port fruit wine, little cookie dough nougat, little roasty bitterness, so much of everything good, dry finish fair bitterness, lingering chocolate fudge, vanilla, and barrel notes lingering

Mouth is fuller bod rich creamy thick, good fluffy carb, pretty much no alcohol

Overall awesome
