22 ounce bottle, packaged on Dec 03 2019. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with a couple inch tan head that stuck around for a while. There's also a decent amount of lacing. I like the aroma a lot, the brew smells like dark fruit, orange peel, cinnamon, vanilla, nuts, roasted malt, clove and allspice. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some burnt/charred malt and coffee flavors. Aroma is sweeter and spicier compared to the taste which seems to be more balanced to me. Sweet/spicy flavors do come out more as the beer warms. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit creamy and coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a pretty good imperial stout, certainly worth picking up if you come across some! $19.99 as part of the holiday 2 pack with Gingerbread Cookie Clear Sky.
