Wolfs-Bane, or Monkshood, is a beautiful but deadly flower that resembles a cloaked monk. This beer isn’t brewed with the flower, but with the finest English grains and boiled for over 8 hours to develop rich and complex flavors. Conditioned on Ugandan Cacao Nibs and Mexican Espresso from One Line Coffee – this stout pushes flavor into new territory. Contains Lactose Sugar (Not Dairy-Free).

From the growler via the brewery in a snifter! This amazing little
brew pours a rich obsidian with a nice head of off white khaki foam
that settles to a thick ring, thin dusty layer, and displays some light lacing.
Nose of dark robust coffee, dark chocolate, vanilla, cream, and deep roast.
Flavors surpass the nose very nicely with dark mellow chocolate, vanilla,
cream, brulee, dark roast, faint cinnamon, and heavy char. Excellent
mouth feel; full slick body, smooth, rich, coating, light carbonation, and
a sweet and char laden finish that is warming and inviting.

Overall----EXCELLENCE from the Wolf's Ridge folk who never
cease to over impress. Excellent!

Cheers!

22 ounce bottle, packaged on FEB 14 2020. Served in a snifter, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around for a while. There's also a decent amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like cocoa, coffee, roasted malt, cream and caramel. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but there's also the addition of some cinnamon, nutmeg and burnt/charred malt flavors. It's a mainly sweet tasting brew but the sweetness doesn't overpower the other flavors. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's creamy and coating with a moderate amount of carbonation. Alcohol is well hidden, sure doesn't taste like it's 13.2% ABV. I thought this was a pretty good imperial milk stout, definitely worth a try!
