Chamomile tea with a hint of orange is a classic recipe for comfort. This wild ale is fermented in oak and aged over a year on our Gold Legacy mixed culture. While quite tart up front, lovely notes of oak and vanilla from the barrel compliment the chamomile flowers and orange zest we added just before bottling. We hope our interpretation transports you somewhere familiar and pleasant.

750 ml bottle, packaged on MAR/04/2020. Served in a Wolf's Ridge chalice, the beer pours a hazy golden/amber color with a couple inch frothy off-white head that stuck around for a long time. There's also a good amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like orange zest, chamomile, apricot, oak, vinegar and bready/grainy malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some funk, vanilla and white grape flavors. Nice amount of tartness in this brew. Mouthfeel/body is light/medium, it's a bit coating and has a good amount of soft carbonation. I thought this was a pretty good sour ale, definitely worth picking up! $14.99 a bottle.
