8 oz bottle born on 7/22/20 poured into a snifter at 53 degrees F:
L - Black with a hazelnut head that dissipated after a few minutes
S - Not strong smelling, light notes of malt and oak and a mild booziness. cognac scent increases as the beer warms
T - such a good taste. the wonderful maltiness of dire wolf blended with mild notes of cognac, coffe, cocoa. A very dry finish which is right up my alley... Cognac taste increases as the beer warms. It is milder than bourbon, also caramel and woody flavors are emerging as it warms
F - wonderful mouthfeel with medium carbonation. Gets chewier as it warms...
O - excellent beer, well balanced with a full bodied flavor. cognac is understated and definitely does not dominate. Gets increasingly complex as it warms, drink below 50 degrees F and savor
