I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local beer store just around the corner. It poured an opaque dark with ecru head that is not leaving much lace. The scent had rich dark chocolate notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with bitter dark chocolate base and warm vanilla and pepper highlights. The mouthfeel was fuller in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

From the tall boy can in a snifter. This excellent imperial
pours a rich coal black with dark cola highlights and a
fantastic head of tan foam that subsides to a thick ring, thin
fluffy layer, and sports some excellent lacing. Nose
of dark chocolate, vanilla, char, faint coffee, and
deep roasted malts with caramel and cream hints.
Flavors hit the note with literal dark chocolate brownies
dashed with vanilla, light cream, and heavy char with a
faint herbal hop on the rear with warmth. Dark fruits also
appear with room temp. Excellent mouth feel; full body,
smooth, rich, coating, light and subtly prickly carbonation,
and a full. rich finish.
Overall----WOW!
Another winner from a fantastic brewery!
