I was apprehensive when I started reading the can; It began to sound like they had thrown in everything that was just laying around the brewery. But, nothing could be further from the truth. It pour inky dark black, no head to speak of. The aroma is of coffee and chocolate with a big dose of bourbon barrel. The taste is sweet without being cloying. The flavor is quite spicy in a very pleasant way. Reminds me of a Christmas Ale. Mouthfeel is full as you would expect from 10% alcohol. Overall I would drink it again, but I won't since it was brewed one time to celebrate the 7th anniversary of the brewery. Glad I tried it. Also, I'm glad I bought a four-pack.
