From the 8 oz bottle in a snifter. This interesting little brew
pours a rich brown tinged black with dark tea highlights and a
light head of tan foam that settles to a thin ring, thin swirling
light film, and shows light lacing. Nose of rich vinous port notes
with oak, dark berry, vanilla, astringent booze, and dark cocoa
mingled with char and roast. Flavors surpass the nose with
dark cocoa dunked in port wine showing touches of dark raspberry,
blackberry, dark raisin, mild and smooth vanilla, oak, astringent booze,
dark coffee, and deep char and roast. Nice mouth feel; full body, smooth,
rich, coating, warming, low carbonation, and a moderately dry and boozy
finish.
Overall, a SOLID brew from a great brewery!
Get some and age it for I would say 4 years and be rewarded.
Cheers

8 oz bottle born on 11/23/20 poured into a Wolf's Ridge Exotic Origins tulip glass at 55 degrees F:
L - black with a hazelnut head that slowly dissipated
S - bitter chocolate, port, oak
T - wonderful blend of bitter chocolate and port with oak, molasses, vanilla, cacao.
F - thick with almost no carbonation
O - one of the best beers I've had from Wolf's Ridge and they are great at barrel aging beers
