16oz can poured into a tulip. Pours a hazy yellowish golden; small off-white head that fades quickly leaving decent retention and lacing. The aromas have a nice blend of tropical and citrus fruits along with some floral notes. Malts are there. The flavors basically follow the nose. Lots of grapefruit and pineapple. There's a nice amount of apricot, peach, lemon and orange as well. Mildly herbal. Moderate bitterness. Moderate sweetness. It's bittersweet although it's probably slightly more on the sweeter side. Malts do their thing. Finishes juicy. Alcohol is well hidden. Mouthfeel is full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's slick, fluffy, smooth and ultimately dangerously drinkable.
This is a really nice New England DIPA. Nice aromas and flavors. The craftsmanship is on point. This is my first time having a beer from Wolf's Ridge and it's safe to say that they made a good first impression.
