As a toasty treat to greet the cold weather, our Brown Ale will please even the staunchest advocates for this classic style. The beer is dry and drinkable with notes of warm biscuits, caramel, and baker's chocolate. Who says brown ales aren't cool? We beg to differ.

I got a can of this beer off the single shelf from my local Giant Eagle store. It poured a clear dark mahogany amber with off white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had dark multi-grain bread notes with hints of roast. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with semi sweet chocolate malt base with rye and roast grain presence. The mouthfeel was medium in body and had good carbonation. Overall it is a solid beer.

Canned on 10-31-22. 12oz can poured into a tulip.
Pours auburn with mahogany and ruby hues; fluffy and creamy off-white head that falls slowly leaving great thick retention and sticky frothy lacing. Great color.
The aromas have a decent amount of hops coming through. Hints of citrus. Some toffee. Malts are there.
The flavors follow the nose perfectly. More hops and more citrus. More toffee along with some cocoa and caramel. Some burnt toast. This one is a little bit more bitter than your typical brown ale. It's a soapy bitterness. Moderate to low sweetness. Malts do their thing. Finishes clean and dry. Alcohol goes unnoticed.
Mouthfeel is medium-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's extremely fluffy, slightly creamy, smooth, and easy to drink.
This is a nice brown ale. It's not exactly a classic or traditional example of the style, but it's still very nice for what it is. I like it.
