Canned on 6/1/21. 16oz can poured into a tulip.

Pours almost black; khaki head that falls leaving solid retention and lacing.

The aromas have some hazelnuts, chocolate and vanilla. Hints of cinnamon and coffee. Malts are there.

The flavors are bold. The coffee comes through in the flavor department without completely dominating. The cinnamon really comes through as well, especially in the finish. Lots of milk chocolate along with some fudge. More vanilla. Hints of coconut in the mix. Low bitterness. It's slightly sweet but nothing over the top. Strong malt backbone. Mild warmth in the finish but nothing crazy.

Mouthfeel is very nice. It's full-bodied with moderate carbonation. It's fluffy, creamy and velvety.

This is a great stout. All of the ingredients shine. Really nice coffee, cinnamon and chocolate flavors. Well done. I really like this one and it's perfect for the cooler weather.

A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a finger high tan colored head that has very good retention properties and hardly died down, leaving lots of lacing down teh sides of the glass.
S: Moderate aromas of chocolate and coffee are present in the nose.
T: The taste follows the smell and has additional flavors of cinnamon with hints of vanilla. The cinnamon spices linger into the finish.
M: It feels a bit more than medium-bodied on the palate and has a moderate amount of carbonation.
O: This stout has aromas and flavors that resemble coffee cake. The cinnamon provides an interesting contrast to the chocolate and the alcohol is very well masked from the taste.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid imperial pours a
dark coal black with a nice head of brown foam that settles to
a thick ring, thick clumping layer, and showcases some excellent lacing.
Nose of earthy cinnamon, earthy malts, dark coffee, mild vanilla, cream,
char, and astringent booze touches. Flavors knock it out of the park.
Dark bakers cocoa, dark espresso, rich cinnamon that is not cloying,
dark bakers chocolate, dark rich coffee / espresso, and notes of cream
amongst layers of char and roast. Nice mouth feel; full body, smooth,
rich, coating, warming, light carbonation, and finishing with a rich
roasted / char laden bitter malt finish.

Overall------WOW. Another great from a great brewery!

Cheers
