A: The beer is jet black in color. It poured with a half finger high tan head that died down but never completely faded away, also lightening up to an off white color.
S: Moderate aromas of chili peppers are present in the nose along with notes of chocolate.
T: The taste follows the smell and has a moderate amount of spiciness from the chili peppers with hints of vanilla towards the finish. There is a light to moderate amount of bitterness.
M: It feels medium- to full-bodied on the palate and has some heat from the chiles in the finish.
O: The aromas, flavors and heat from the chiles prominently stand out in this stout. It does a good job masking most of the alcohol from the taste but the spiciness still makes it a slow sipper.

Pours a delicious, wonderful golden brown, a beautiful color that is a sight to behold. Nice strong foam but unfortunately, it doesn't last or leave much in the way of lacing in the glass. The aroma is, how to say this, not particularly good but it belies what is really behind this beer. The smell is roasty with some booziness, a hint of the chilis and and a medicine tartness. Taste, however, differs greatly from aroma. The chilis are there is good balance (if the beer warms, the chili profile increases -- best enjoyed cold), dark chocolate and very little vanilla. This is a 12.2% beer and is shows as you work through the can -- holding back is not what this beer does! All in all, a very interesting and worthy pastry stout.

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid little imperial pours
a nice pitch black with a nice head of light brown foam that settles
to a thick ring, thick dusty layer, and shows some very nice lacing.
Nose of subtleties; spicy pepper notes, dark cocoa, char, dark coffee,
and touches of brulee. Flavors surpass the nose nicely with dark
cocoa, dark coffee, vanilla, cream, warming pepper, char, and
deep roasted malts. Nice mouth feel; full body, warming from
booze and pepper, rich, coating, medium light carbonation to give lift
and assist in giving more heft to the peppers, and a bitter malt and
spicy pepper finish.

Overall, a nice brew, like a 3 way split between a Prairie Bomb, a
Clown Shoes Beast, and a Wolf's Ridge imperial stout.

Overall----excellent!

Cheers
