From the 8 oz bottle in a snifter. This monster pours a dark and muddled
brownish black with a moderate head of tan foam that sizzles to a thin ring
with faint lacing and light legs with a swirl. Nose of cognac, dark berry notes of
dried blueberry and cherry, dark coffee hints, and dark cocoa with touches of vanilla.
Flavors hit the mark with cognac, dark fruits of blueberry, raspberry, tart cherry, dark
chocolate---semisweet, dark coffee hints, subtle char, faint smoke, and tobacco.
Mouth feel is medium full, faint carbonation, slick, coating, rich as the day is long,
and finishing moderately dry.
Overall----wow....another winner from a great brewery!
Cheers

8 ounce bottle, packaged 09/20/21. Served in a Wolfs Ridge Dire Wolf chalice, the beer pours a dark brown/black color with about an inch or so tan head that stuck around a while. Good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like Armagnac, roasted malt, caramel, dark fruit and dark chocolate. For the most part I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some oak and molasses flavors. It's a sweet tasting brew that has the right amount of sweetness! Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit creamy and slick with a moderate amount of carbonation. Can't say I've had much Armagnac, but this is a good brew for sure. Definitely worth picking up if you come across some!
