Inspired by a popular holiday drink in Puerto Rico called Coquito, we begin with Dire Wolf that has aged for 11 months in Jamaican rum barrels, then condition the beer on toasted coconut and a blend of island spices.

22 ounce bottle, packaged on 08/13/21. Served in a Wolfs Ridge Dire Wolf chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with not quite an inch tan head. Head retention and lacing are both decent enough. I like the aroma, the brew smells like rum, clove, cinnamon, coconut, vanilla and roasted malt. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some dark chocolate and dark fruity flavors noticeable. I think the rum and spices stand out in both the taste and aroma, however they don't quite overpower the other flavors. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's a bit creamy and coating with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good imperial stout, recommend it to those who like rum and/or spiced brews!
