I wasn't sure what to think of another Wolf Ridge, and a stout that when you pour it does not scream, "I'm the greatest stout ever, but more of a "drink me if you want." And that loud can!
Like I said, the pour is initially underwhelming but it eventually builds a decent bit of lacing. The aroma is another thing. It is the first indication that this was worth over $5 a can. The can lists orange peel, vanilla, lactose and two single origin cacaos, one from Ghana and one from Dominican Republic. That stuff is all thick in the aroma and the taste. I mean thickly glommed together like a flavored chocolate bar. Amazing. It sits very happily boozy on your tongue for a long time.
Recommended. This is a big thick treat for your taste buds.
