Over 19 months in the barrel has made for a stout both robust in complexity but mellow in finish. While we love the experimentation of aging Dire Wolf in barrels close to home and from far-off locales, sometimes, the classic pairing of high-end Kentucky Bourbon and our award-winning stout is all you need.

Surprised not to see this listed, since it was from their anniversary last year like some of the others that are on here. Anyway, tiny bottle poured into a snifter, let's go. It pours beautifully, a cola black-brown with a good two fingers of mocha head that fades away into a rim and lilypad of foam. I smell the malt in all its chocolatey glory along with bourbon and vanilla. The taste is the same - malt up front, vanilla and bourbon finish. It's full, not really carbonated, and a bit creamy. Another luxurious draught from a place that has taken too much of my money.
