Another day, another stout from the treasure pile. This one pours black with a nice cocoa head that fades out quickly. Smells like a deep well of malt and whiskey at first. Very strong flavor, a lot of malt and whiskey with noticeable chocolate right away. Lingering aftertaste of stone fruit. Some bitter coffee flavors, some char. A little fudgey. Chocolate smell, chocolate flavor. Quite luxurious, full, tongue-coating.
Good as always!

8 ounce bottle, packaged SEPT 2022. Served in a Dire Wolf chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch tan head that stuck around a while. Good amount of lacing. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like dark fruit, bourbon, vanilla, dark chocolate, roasted malt and molasses. Taste is similar to the aroma, but with the addition of some fudge, coffee and burnt/charred malt flavors. Good amount of barrel character without being overpowering. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's coating and rich with a low/moderate amount of carbonation. Thought this was a pretty good Dire Wolf variant, hoping Wolf's Ridge will bring this one back in the future!
