Cracking open another one from the stash. This is yellow-amber, briefly fizzy with no head retention. Strong tripel smell - complex with apparent spice throughout, strong on the whiskey, but a touch sweet on finish. Must be the coconut. Smell I think is coconut and whiskey. It's malty with a light fruity element, but mostly that peppery clove and coconut taste. It's smooth, well-carbonated, and tongue-coating. Dry finish.
Not sure what else to say. Belgian-style beers aren't ones I know too well, despite gladly having them from time to time, and I'm out of my element with no idea how to rate. I feel like I'm getting the coconut, but coconut is such a weird, subtle flavor and one that I tend to avoid, so I don't have a good frame of reference for it. It's a good beer because WR always puts out good beer.
