All right, finally getting to try this. Tall can poured into a pint glass. The beer pours a deep gold with a good two fingers of white head, standard beer stuff. The head winds down but lingers a while. I'm a little sick and can't smell very well, so I'm fighting my nose to get a whiff of the coffee and vanilla, which I think is pretty apparent. Bet it smells like a dream any other day, because it sure tastes like one. Smooth, a toasty, golden malt with a touch of earthiness like a good coffee, but well-balanced with the vanilla. Moderately carbonated. It's very good, but regular Daybreak is already very good, so you can't go wrong either way. Would be fun to do a side by side.

16 ounce can, packaged SEP 05 2023. Served in a pint glass, the beer pours a somewhat clear dark gold color with about an inch frothy off-white head that stayed around for a long time. There's also a lot of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like coffee, vanilla and grainy/bready malt. Taste is pretty much just like the aroma, but with the addition of some earthiness. I think the coffee flavor stands out compared to the others but doesn't overpower them either. Mouthfeel/body is medium, it's slick and smooth with a good amount of carbonation. I think this is pretty similar to the regular Daybreak, just with more of a boozy kick. It's good but I think I prefer the regular Daybreak compared to this version.

On tap at the Mellow Mushroom in Columbus, OH.

A - Dark medium gold color color with light carbonation and no lacing. In fact, it looks more like apple juice. I can't knock the brewery for a bar serving their beer that didn't carb it properly with CO2.

S - Cream, vanilla, and sweet malt with an ever so slight hint of roast, no ABV detected whatsoever (which is impressive).

T - Cream, golden toasted malt, and ends on the sweeter side.

M - Big, slick medium body and no warming on the way down.

O - Really nicely done, especially with a style we don't see much of these days. 'Would definitely buy this again.

Poured a warm honey color with a two finger off white head that left rings of lacing.
The aroma speaks of coffee and malts with a little vanilla.
The flavor follows, coffee in a light amber beer is rather odd for me as I normally get that flavor in stouts, but there it is. The vanilla accents the coffee rather than adding to the flavor.
The feel is nice, very easy drinking, almost soft.
Not one I see often so glad I got one to try. I’d happily drink it again.
