One of our favorite beers to make is the storied Doppelbock. The style has a history steeped in lore, and some truth, surrounding monks partaking in the heady beverage to sustain themselves during times of fasting. This beer itself went on a form of fasting, too - by lagering over two months in American oak foeders. Ingredient Profile: German Munich malts, Noble hops, American white oak foeders.
