Our award-winning imperial stout has been carefully aged in barrels from High Bank's Double Double Oaked Whiskey (also award-winning!), creating a decadent fusion of bold flavors. Experience the rich, complex character of Dire Wolf harmoniously blended with the smooth, oaky elegance of fine whiskey.

12 ounce can, date stamp was off center on the bottom of the can but I can tell it was packaged sometime in 2024. Served in a Wolf's Ridge Dire Wolf chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about a half inch or so tan head. Head retention and lacing are both good. Aroma is nice, the brew smells like roasted malt, whiskey, dark chocolate, oak, coffee and some vanilla. For the most part I think the taste follows the aroma, but there's also some dark bread, burnt/charred malt and blackberry flavors noticeable too. Good amount of barrel character in both the aroma and taste. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's slick and a bit syrupy with a moderate amount of carbonation. I liked this one a lot, I'll have to grab a few more cans of this one. Just bought this a couple weeks ago so I think I can still find some around here.

From the 12 oz can in a snifter. This excellent little imperial pours a
pitch black with a nice head of light brown foam that settles to a thick
ring, thin dusty layer, and sport some light lacing. Nose of bourbon,
oak, vanilla, char, dark coffee, dark chocolate, and subtle dark fruits.
Flavors hit the spot with mellow bourbon, oak, vanilla, moderate char,
deep roast, dark bakers chocolate, espresso, and dark berry notes of
blackberry and raspberry. Mouth feel is full, smooth, rich, coating,
lightly warming, light carbonation, and a nicely balanced sweet and
warming bourbon finish that is moderately dry.

Overall, another great brew from a great brewery!

Cheers
