Crafted with patience, this Barleywine spent 1000 days in 18 year Heaven Hill barrels. The extended aging process infused bourbon into the rich malty base, creating flavors of raisin, orange and molasses.

From the 8 oz bottle in a snifter---I believe I got this at Kenny Road Market, maybe
Brother Bluejacket74.....not sure. This unique barleywine pours a murky dark brown
with a fizzling head that fades to nothing. Nose of bourbon, oak, dates, brown sugars,
vanilla, and dark cherry notes. Flavors hit the mark with oak, vanilla, bourbon, date bread,
orange zest, toffee, tart cherry, and tobacco. Mouth feel is medium, zero carbonation, smooth,
warming, rich, and finishing moderately dry.
Overall, a solid brew from a great little brewery.
Cheers

8 ounce bottle, packaged AUGUST 2024 printed on the label. Served in a snifter, the beer pours a mahogany brown/copper color with about a half inch tan head that didn't stick around for too long. There's a small amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like molasses, vanilla, bourbon, raisins and oak. Taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some candied orange, toffee and earthy flavors noticeable too. Does start off sweet tasting but it's also more oaky/earthy tasting than I expected too, assuming it's because this was aged for so long. Mouthfeel/body is full, it's slick and a bit rich with a moderate amount of carbonation. I thought this was a good overall brew, might have to get another bottle or 2 of this!
