Inspired to sweeten these cold winter months we took our award-winning Dire Wolf stout and gave it a touch of sugar and salt. This decadent stout boasts flavors of roasted malt, dark chocolate, and caramel and is perfectly balanced with a touch of sea salt. Wonderful for sipping by the fire or pairing with dessert.

16 ounce can, date stamp is smudged but looks like it says JAN 24 2025 or 2026 so I'm not sure if it's a canned on or best before date. Thanks to Brutaltruth for this one! Served in a Dire Wolf chalice, the beer pours dark brown/black with about an inch or so tan head that stuck around a while. Decent amount of lacing. I like the aroma, the brew smells like dark chocolate, roasted malt, caramel, sea salt and a bit of licorice. I think the taste is similar to the aroma, but there's also some coffee and dark bready flavors noticeable too. Not as sweet tasting as I was expecting, but in this case I think that's a good thing. Mouthfeel/body is medium/full, it's creamy and smooth with a moderate amount of carbonation. Thought this was a good overall brew, certainly worth trying if you get the chance!

From the 16 oz can in a snifter. This solid little imperial pours a rich
obsidian with a very nice head of light brown foam that settles to a
thick ring, thin clumping layer, and sport some very nice lacing. Nose
of dark bakers chocolate, subtle caramel, deep roast, dark coffee, and
char. Flavors hit the note with rich coffee, dark bakers chocolate, char,
deep roast, light caramel, brulee, and subtle salt. Mouthfeel is full, rich,
coating, medium light carbonation that offers some nice lift to the heft of
this beast, and a bitter malt and lightly salted finish.

Overall, a SOLID imperial that is not overpowering on a sweet level
by any stretch of the means. Nicely balanced and well done!

Cheers
