On tap at the brewery in Central City and served in a tall style taster glass. Amber color, decent head, looks ok. Aroma is malts and pretty bland. Flavor is much the same. What can I really say about this beer? it wasn't offensive but it really wasn't good either. i guess they need something mild for people who aren't really in to craft beer?

APPEARANCE: Pretty beer. Dark, burnt orange with a very slightly off-white head of about a full finger. Retention is decent and enough bubbles pop up through the mild haze to make this beer look alive.
SMELL: The nose is almost there. It has all the elements of a great smelling bitter, but it is a little vague for lack of a better term. It just seems as though you have to keep getting your nose closer to get all the floral, hoppy and citrusy notes out of it. Eventually your nose ends up in the glass.
TASTE: Hmm. After all the flavor these guys managed to pack into their IPA this one is a little disappointing. It isn't bad, there's just not much there. A dry, bitter and grassy hoppiness is what carries the flavor, but there is not much to balance it out or round it out. On the other hand, for a true English-style bitter, this is just about right. I suppose I am just used to the American version of it...a little more intense.
MOUTHFEEL: The mouthfeel is quite nice. Medium carbonation, dry and with a very cleansing finish. This beer could work well with a lot of food for that reason.
OVERALL: I really did feel like the IPA these guys make is underrated. I'll get to that review sometime soon I hope as I have detailed notes in my phone. However, tonight, as I drink this one out of the bomber I picked up at the brewery I am feeling underwhelmed. It's a good effort and true to the style, just not my thing.

I pulled up to the bar and got the one marked "pub beer"
Pours a light amber, very light. Average white head and pretty good lacing.
A quick splunge of earthy hops up front in the aroma, then a light malt middle. Finish was overpowered by the carbonation.
This all fits into the taste as well, with a bit of a dry finish.
the carbonation on this beer was over board, badly. the first touch of the lips gives the impression of soda water. The body is thinned out and the finish is seltzer-ish. What the heck? I tried to finish it, but the last swallow was left alone.

On tap at Dostal Alley. Out of all of the brewery's offerings, this one was probably the most drinkable. From the tap it poured a clear amber with a small lingering off white head. Aromas of caramel and a little fruit. Palate was light to medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of carmel, straw and light fruitiness with a smooth malty finish.

Sampled at Dostal Alley. Arrived a more coppery amber color with tan highlights. Good clarity and soft white head. Not much retention and limited lacing.
The nose is limited overall but a good kettle caramel nose comes out. Almost sweet but limited and lacks complexity. Not much on hops and very clean yeast.
The taste is on par with the nose. There is a detectable caramel flavor that has a slight toffee finish to it. More of a sweeter malt flavor, more so than the other Dostal Alley beers sampled. There is a sudsy finish that all Dostal beers had. A sweet finish, but next to no hops to speak of. The yeast is very clean but a slight watery finish helps support that.
The body is light but the sweetness helps some mouthfeel come out. Overall this was one of the better beers but still limited.
