On tap at the brewery. I'm not much for gambling so it was nice to get to tick some new beers while in Central City/Blackhawk. Dark black color, ok head. Aroma was roasted malts, actually smelled alright. Flavor wsa a little bit on the light side, yes it had the malt qualities but I would have liked it to be a bit more robust. Overall it was probably their best beer but not something I would revisit.

Probably too heavy after some beers and a buffet, but this one had a pretty nice flavor. Deep black color, with a huge mocha colored head. Aromas of fresh coffee, baker's chocolate and roasted malt. On the palate, this one had a nice creamy mouthfeel, with notes of milk chocolate and vanilla. Probably the only Dostal Alley beer I would order again.

Last beer sampled at Dostal Alley. Presented a mostly black color with no really visibility when held to the light. A soft tan head with decent retention and ok lacing.
The nose was very soft. Some light chocolate and hints of coffee. A light toffee mixture in there as well. I didn't pick it out but some got a oatmeal/lactic thing. Not exactly sour but board line. Although I picked out DMS and some of my party did not.
The taste is more descript. A good malt backing with more of a generic flavor. Not much along the lines of astringency. No real coffee or roast flavors at all. Some lactic flavors do come out though with more of a milky taste versus an oatmeal flavoring. A light kettle flavor that heightens the milk stout aspect. There is a light yeasty note that is more of a rose-like flavor. Also there is a sudsy finish that is in all of Dostal Alley beers, but this is less than the others.
The body is moderate but is helped along with the milk stout flavors. A light carbonation but ok. One of the better Dostal Alley beers but still limited.
