This big, bold imperial stout tastes like the candy from your childhood with notes of orange peel and rich dark chocolate.

Poured from 750ml bottle into glass. Bottled in February of 2018. Label has ABV% as 11.5.
Black colored body, with orange mahogany highlights when presented to light. Frothy tan colored head, which sticks around. Leaves behind some small spots of lacing.
Aroma is dark roasted malts, with some dark chocolate, and a hint of orange.
Taste expresses more of the dark chocolate, with an orange liqueur overlay (which is sweet and light against the darker roasted malts of the base beer). There is a sweet caramel/bitter, burnt, spicy molasses aspect as well.
Thicker mouth feel. Mouth coating.
This is a beer for sipping, with the lighter orange wafting over the rather intense base stout. Allowing the beer to warm in the mouth brings forth a better balance.

Bottle aged for 6 months.

Pours a very dark brown, almost black colour, with no head retention. Smells like blackstrap molasses, espresso, and faint orange liqueur. Tastes heavy throughout, syrupy mouthfeel, molasses, dates, a little bitter, burnt grains, not much flavours of the orange, but almost like an orange-brulee.

L: It pours deep dark brown under a thin tan cap with poor retention.

S: medium low with chocolate, orange zest and alcohol in the lead.

T: very creamy plate with rich chocolate, orange, alcohol, and a medium initial sweetness that dries on the finish. The orange and chocolate are restrained and do not overwhelm the malt and the Imperial Stout character. The roast flavors are medium. The flavors increase at room temperature. The alcohol is big and intense but is not hot.

F: Dynamo Orange Chocolate Imperial Stout is chewy with medium carbonation.

O: This is a rich, big and bold beer.

Appearance: Dark brown to black, very small head fizzles out.

Smell: Roasty, boozy.

Taste: Roast malt, then there is a orange tootsie roll flavor, like caramel mixed with oranges. Stays sweet throughout, some chocolate comes through and the orange is stronger as it warms.

Overall: This is an unusual one, the orange is quite strong when mixed with chocolate and caramel flavors. It will be an acquired taste and a sipper, the unusual flavor and high abv are challenging.
