Poured a hazy, golden-yellow color with a small, white head of foam. It smelled of mango and citrus fruits. Sweet mango flavor with grapefruit, orange and toasted caramel.

a hazy east coast style hoppy beer, it really seems like these are happening everywhere right now and that the style is here to stay. this one is done with mango, and is far better than its ratings indicate here. orange and frothy in the glass from the tap, without as much sweetness or obvious mango to it as it looks like it should have at this shade of orange, its slight, and well behind the hops, which to me explode with citrus and pineapple notes, there is an obvious tropical fruit complexion that makes the mango addition a smart add and a neat exclamation point to an already robustly fruity palate, cool recipe! the haze seems to have something to add here which is nice, and definitely not the norm for these, its like rich and full of protein or something, hearty and even creamy, the texture of this is awesome, wheaty and fluffy and round but still delicate, way more refined than it looks, a great feature for this hop complexion. the bitterness is low, there is a vegetal aspect that doesnt quite fit with the fruitiness but to me indicates freshness, and then the mango in the finish thats natural enough tasting and fully compatible with these hops. its an excellent breakfast beer, subs in easily for fresh orange juice, and works well on a hangover too, a nice bounce back beer, but also worthwhile independent of that context. surprised it doesnt have more favorable reviews...
