Crystal clear amber with moderate-to-energetic carbonation below a short, and short-lived, white head.

Strong aroma hits as soon as I crack the can. Bready, mostly, with light fruit and grass.

Bready taste as well, sweet, accompanied by mild fruit - not tropical, not citrus, not... - IDK; "fruit" is the best I can do. Also honey and some floral. This mix of flavors stays throughout the middle and into the finish. There is no bitterness in the flavor, but oddly, the aftertaste does develop some bittering that remains in my mouth, and intensifies a little with each sip, and eventually backs into the flavor proper.

Mouth feel is substantial with the inherent smoothness broken up by the retained bitterness in the aftertaste.

Overall, quite a nice maibock.

Had a pint at the tap room. Solid beer
Taste is sweet malt with a touch of honey at first. Then the hops kick in that are floral with a little herbal. I did pick out a soapy flavor a few times thou.
Nice thick mouth feel. slightly syrupy
I will give it a 3.89/5

Golden in color, with excellent clarity. Shock white head, very good lacing. Big, lazy carbonated bubbles. Looks good so far!

Neutral nose. Not a blast of malt or one of hops (thank goodness), so it is both clean and well-lagered, thankfully.

Taste is sweeeet and malty, with nary a touch of bitterness to be had. BIG body… and with a texture fairly reminiscent of a barleywine style ale.

At 7.6% this is not a “big beer”, these days, but for the style it is a bit bigger than average, and maybe bigger than some might prefer.

Regardless, it is a very good beer for what it is, and a GREAT beer from a (soon to be no more) brewery that I never gave much of my time or money to.
