One of my all time favourite IPA's. The bee has a strong body coupled with a very pleasant taste. The aroma of hops is just right. I always source a few bottles of Scraggy Bay when visiting Ireland.

Pint at Guildhall Taphouse in Derry.
Electric gold in color with a bit of bubbly white on top. Light bready crackery maltiness with lots of citrus tropical fruits pine a resin to counter. I rather enjoyed this one.

pale golden, a little cloudy, sparse head which dissipates quickly, aroma is lemon, touch of pineapple, full fruity flavour, lots of lemon and malt followed by a big hit of hops, very tasty ale, I really like this one.

500ml bottle from Reills Lisnaskea, £2.50:
This one was a very nice American style IPA, particularly as it comes from an Irish brewery and came out a lot better than I was expecting. Thankfully the beer was quite bitter with a lot of grapefruit and citrus flavours, some pine helping add to this as well. Overall this one was quite an enjoyable offering and one that I wouldn't mind picking up again.

500ml bottle. Smells hoppy and pine and maybe burnt orange. Pours large head which dissipates quickly. Not much lacing. Nice enough beer. Quite bitter on the back end. Not bad but could do with some more balance

500 ml bottle from a little off licence in Longford town. I knew from the aroma of sweet hops that I was going to like this one from Donegal. Loved it. Try it if you get a chance.

500ml bottle bought from GapWines, Belfast...

Poured an amber / straw colour with a faint haze. White head poured quite loose and foamy then faded slowly to decent thickish coating.. quite a lot of carbonation and a decent amount of patchy sticky lacing...

Aroma - Good amount of floral and citrus hops, light sweet caramel maltiness, wet grass notes, pretty perfumed, some sea salt notes, light tart fruitiness (apples, light orange and some grapefruit), some faint graininess...

Taste - Again a decent light citrusy hop bite, pine notes, lightly perfumed, some floral notes, grapefruit and lemon fruitiness, light biscuit malt sweetness, faint caramel...

M&D - Quite sharp and dry... light bodied... pretty refreshing and drinkable...

Overall - A decent enough IPA although nothing ground breaking... well worth a try though
