500ml bottle bought from GapWines, Belfast
Poured a deep dark brown / almost completely black colour... tan head poured very fairly thick and foamy then faded slowly to good one finger covering... some decent lacing clings to the glass throughout...
Aroma - Lots of nice chocolate malts mixed with strong latte coffee notes, some biscuity notes, light espresso, earthy, light brown sugar sweetness, lactose, woody, some leathery notes, milk chocolate
Taste - Pretty much as above.. lots of milk chocolate and coffee notes, lightly roasted malts, lactose sweetness, some espresso, light nuttiness...
Feel - Fairly rich and creamy... medium bodied... at 6.3% this is a very drinkable brew as the alcohol is very well hidden
Overall - A very nice well balanced coffee stout and another fine brew from Kinnegar... recommended

Poured VERY dark brown, almost black, Great stout look.
Smelled of sweet malts with a heavy coffee aroma and hints of chocolate.
Tasted of strong toasted malts with an overlying layer of coffee and slightly bitter. Very balanced, yet very flavourful with almost a dry finish. NOT syrupy as one might predict.
Would I buy it again? Absolutely.
